Donation of masks for those most in need in El Paso County

The Paso del Norte Health Foundation is thankful to Steve Hamblin, CEO of JAG Apparel, for the donation of 20,000 hand-washable Flexmasks. The masks will be distributed by promotoras to those most in need in the County of El Paso. This effort is part of the El Paso United COVID-19 Transition Task Force working to reduce the risk of COVID-19 and other challenges during this unprecedented time.

The Paso del Norte Health Foundation seeks Letters of Intent (LOIs) from eligible organizations to promote the Foundation’s Strategic Plan for Healthy Eating Active Living (HEAL).

Specifically, the Health Foundation seeks LOIs to improve nutrition and increase physical activity and decrease sedentary behavior. A high-quality diet that includes fruits and vegetables and appropriate daily caloric intake, along with being physically active and minimizing sedentary time, can lower the risk of chronic diseases such as obesity and type 2 diabetes.
