Let’s Clear the Air: Protecting Our Youth from the Dangers of Vaping
August 22, 2025
School is back in session—and so is our commitment to keeping students healthy and safe. Possessing or using vaping devices on campus is not only against school policy but can also lead to serious disciplinary action.
Parents and caregivers play a critical role in prevention. Talking openly with your children about vaping can help them make informed choices. These conversations can address both the immediate consequences at school and the long-term dangers to their health.
To make these conversations easier, explore our Parent Discussion Guide and other helpful resources at vapefreepdn.org.
Since 1999, the Paso del Norte Health Foundation’s A Smoke-Free Paso del Norte initiative has worked to reduce tobacco and nicotine use in our region. Today, our mission includes raising awareness about the growing threat of youth vaping. Together, we can protect the next generation from a lifetime of nicotine addiction and lung disease.
