Paso del Norte Health Foundation announces Chair, Vice Chair and New Appointees

The Paso del Norte Health Foundation (PdNHF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Carlos Fernandez as Chair and Dr. Linda Lawson as Vice Chair of PdNHF’s 2026 Board of Directors.
Mr. Fernandez, Managing Director of Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, has served on the PdNHF Board since 2019. His financial expertise provides the Foundation with valuable guidance to maintain its commitment to responsible stewardship.
Dr. Lawson, retired Chief Nursing Officer for The Hospitals of Providence Transmountain Campus, has served on the board since 2020 and contributes more than 30 years of nursing and operational experience. Her experience serves as a guiding light in advancing PdNHF’s mission to promote health and prevent disease in the Paso del Norte region.
In addition to the new officers, the PdNHF proudly welcomed three board members to serve a new or returning three-year term: • Julie Kallman, Community Volunteer (1st three-year term) • Justin Lane, HarbourVest Partners (1st three-year term) • John Hummer, Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine (2nd three-year term)
PdNHF’s board members are a diverse group of business and community leaders committed to supporting the vision, mission, values, and goals designed to promote health and prevent disease in the Paso del Norte region. The volunteer board meets every two months and, through its committees, manages the Health Foundation’s strategic planning, grantmaking, investments, finances, audits, communications, and governance.
