Discover Out-of-School-Time Opportunities with the BOOST Network!

October 27, 2025

Across the U.S., more than 10 million youth participate in Out-of-School Time (OST) programs — where learning, growth, and discovery continue long after the school day ends. These programs help children explore new interests, build confidence, and develop critical life skills through arts, sports, STEM, leadership, and civic engagement. OST programs don’t just fill time — they shape futures, fostering academic success and social-emotional growth that last well into adulthood.

Connecting and Supporting OST Providers in Our Region

The BOOST Network — a partnership between the Paso del Norte Health Foundation and United Way of El Paso County — strengthens and connects Out-of-School Time providers across the Paso del Norte region. By fostering collaboration, sharing resources, and promoting quality standards, BOOST ensures that all children and youth have access to safe, engaging, and high-quality programs after school, on weekends, and during school breaks.

“The BOOST Network represents the Health Foundation’s commitment to creating safe, enriching environments where young people can thrive beyond the classroom,” says Program Officer Sandra Day. “These programs are essential lifelines for working families and provide the structured support our youth need to develop into successful, healthy, and thriving adults.”
