Congratulations to 20 community health leaders who recently graduated from the Paso del Norte Health Foundation’s REALIZE Leadership Program. These individuals participated in a 10-month experience that prepared them to address regional health needs, through the use of cutting edge leadership ideas.
The goal of the REALIZE experience is to inspire already effective leaders to become transformational leaders for the benefit of the region’s health.

Tickets are now on sale for the Paso del Norte Foundation’s annual Grand Slam Night at the Ballpark.
The event will take place on Friday, May 20, 2016 – 7 p.m. at the Southwest University Park – Santa Fe Pavilion/Sun King’s Saloon. Tickets are $100 per person with corporate sponsorship starting at $1,000.

The following street closures will begin on Monday, April 4 and are necessary for the work related to the El Paso Streetcar Project. It is encouraged that commuters allow extra travel time and consider alternate routes.
Yandell Drive will be reduced to one westbound lane at Stanton Street. This closure will impact westbound motorists who use Exit 19A/Mesa Street and is expected to last for approximately four weeks.

The Paso del Norte Health Information Exchange (PDN HIE) is pleased to announce the appointment of Emily Hartmann as Deputy Director.
Hartmann brings experience in health care consulting and analytics to the PDN HIE. She has also worked on health initiatives for the city of Chicago and the state of Massachusetts.
Paso del Norte HIE is a collaboration of major healthcare partners in the El Paso area. The purpose of the PDN HIE is to share clinical data between healthcare providers to improve health and medicine.

The Bowie High School Community Garden (BHS Garden) project is one of six programs in the country featured by Salud America! as Salud Heroes vs. Sugar. The BHS Garden project was selected based on support to fight sugar and bring fruits and veggies to Latino families.
