Diabetes Summer Kid’s Camp

July 26, 2023

The El Paso Center for Diabetes hosted the Yolanda Arriola’s Kid’s Camp this July for children ages 5-12 with Type 1 diabetes. With funding support from the Paso del Norte Health Foundation, children enjoyed fun activities, met some furry four-legged friends, participated in several outside excursions, were superheroes for a day, and learned about managing their diabetes during the three-day camp.

Start the school year by getting vaccinated. The City of El Paso Department of Public Health and Immunize El Paso are offering FREE routine vaccines for children up to 18 years of age. Vaccines such as tetanus, HPV, polio, measles, meningitis, and whooping cough are available at several City Community Clinics around town. No appointment is necessary.

Project Vida receives certification for a Community-Based Psychiatry Residency Program

Project Vida was recently accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) to provide a Community-Based Psychiatry Residency Program for medical students.
