Our newest mini-media campaign promotes in a clear voice the Diabetes Now What? website and resources available to our community in both English and Spanish. This campaign will run between mid-September and November and is funded by the Paso del Norte Health Foundation. The Paso del Norte Health Foundation in partnership with the Aspen Institute Forum for Community Solutions (AIFCS) recently invited several local nonprofit organizations that focus on engaging disconnected young adults (Opportunity Youth – OY) to participate in an information session to identify at least one local organization to be part of The Aspen Institute’s Innovation Fund. Congratulations to Dr. Linda Lawson on being named an El Paso Inc. 2022 Woman of Impact. Dr. Lawson and five other honorees were selected for their positive impact to the community related to health, education, and quality of life.
Dr. Lawson is Group Chief Nursing Officer at The Hospitals of Providence (THOP) and oversees patient care and outcomes within all the THOP health network hospitals. She has served on the Health Foundation Board since 2020 and currently serves on the Allocations Committee.
