Celebrating a Milestone in Regional Health: Honoring the First Graduates of the Texas Tech Hunt School of Dental Medicine
May 20, 2025
The Paso del Norte Health Foundation proudly celebrated the inaugural graduating class of the Woody L. Hunt School of Dental Medicine at Texas Tech Health El Paso. CEO Tracy J. Yellen offered remarks during the school’s first dental graduation awards ceremony, marking a significant milestone for our region’s health and the future of oral care.
The Health Foundation has been a steadfast partner in the Hunt School of Dental Medicine’s journey. With an $11 million investment, the Health Foundation supported curriculum development, faculty recruitment, and accreditation, which are critical building blocks for establishing a top-tier dental education program. This investment represents more than financial support; it reflects our deep commitment to improving health through education and innovation.
We extend heartfelt congratulations to the forty inaugural dental school graduates. As they step into their roles as dentists, they carry forward a shared mission—to enhance the health and well-being of the communities they now serve.
