Community meetings to provide feedback on Downtown Deck Plaza

The Downtown Deck Plaza Foundation and the City of El Paso want your feedback as they study the feasibility of creating a new community space over Interstate 10 in Downtown El Paso. The proposed goal is to create a space as unique as El Paso’s people, natural beauty, culture, history, and neighborhoods.
Members of the public are invited to learn more about the proposed project and provide their feedback to help create a space that will become an amenity for the entire Paso del Norte region while reconnecting neighborhoods historically separated by Interstate 10.

An El Paso native, Julia graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso with a Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia Journalism. She enjoys spending her free time reading, exercising and being with friends.

The Paso del Norte Health Foundation and Paso del Norte Community Foundation extend our sincere gratitude for the outpouring of coat donations in response to the surge of migrants and refugees in our community. Health Foundation responds to migrant crisis

The Paso del Norte Health Foundation recently awarded two grants totaling $200,000 under the Health Leadership priority area for Community Resilience. The Health Foundation is committed to working with the community in times of crisis and other emergent health needs. The Paso del Norte Health Foundation is pleased to announce Susan Melendez as Board Chair and Annette Cordova Hoy, M.D. as Board Vice Chair for 2023. A community leader, Ms. Melendez has served on the board since 2017 including two terms as Chair of the Finance, Audit, and IT Committee. Dr. Cordova Hoy is a retired obstetrics and gynecology physician and has served on the board since 2018 including two terms as Chair of the Allocations Committee.
