Save the Date! Rise Above – Trauma-Informed Care Conference

In partnership with the Paso del Norte Health Foundation, the El Paso Child Guidance Center and Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute are pleased to announce the inaugural Rise Above Conference and launch of the West Texas Trauma-Informed Care Consortium (WTTICC).
The conference will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2022, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm at the El Paso Community College Administration building, Auditorium and provide excellent learning opportunities for individuals looking to improve their knowledge, skills, and competence in trauma-informed practices.
The signature conference also introduces the new WTTICC, a hub for trauma- and grief-informed care in the western region of Texas. A major role of the WTTICC will be to provide the Paso del Norte region with best practice knowledge, skills, training opportunities and professional technical assistance to improve systems and foster collaboration.
Regional, state, and national leaders in the Trauma-Informed Care arena will be presenting, including keynote speaker Julie Kaplow, PhD, ABPP, a licensed psychologist, board certified in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology. Dr Kaplow serves as Executive Vice President of Trauma and Grief Programs and Policy at the Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute and Executive Director of the Trauma and Grief (TAG) Center at The Hackett Center for Mental Health in Houston.
The conference is funded by the Paso del Norte Health Foundation.
