Annunciation House receives contribution at El Paso Inc.’s Awards Luncheon

On Tuesday, February 19, El Paso Inc. recognized Beto O’Rourke as El Pasoan of the Year and Ruben Garcia with the Community Spirit Award. These two individuals were honored for their dedication and tireless work on behalf of this community and others. El Paso Inc. names an El Pasoan of the Year annually to celebrate important achievements and to encourage others to realize their potential. Since 1996, it has been a tribute to individuals who have made significant contributions to our community.

In addition to receiving their awards, El Paso Inc. made a monetary contribution to Annunciation House. The Paso del Norte Health Foundation offered an additional $20,000 contribution to Annunciation House to help them meet the basic health and safety needs of refugees in their care.

“We felt it was important to do our part,” said Tracy J. Yellen, CEO of the Paso del Norte Community Foundation, that includes the Paso del Norte Health Foundation. “Supporting Annunciation House and their work helps us achieve our vision of ensuring that individuals and families in our region have the knowledge, resources, support and environment needed to live healthy lives.”
