Fun activity along the Playa Drain Trail

Get Fit on the Playa event was recently held on the newest section of the Playa Drain Trail. More than 200 participants walked and biked along the newly completed section between Yarborough Drive and Knights Drive. Participants received tips on the importance of stretching and staying hydrated along the way. Other fun activities included jump rope and hula hoop stations. The City of El Paso completed this section in the fall of 2022 and is working on another section near Ysleta High School. Once this section is complete, the Playa Drain Trail will be 8.3 miles.
