Sandra Day brings over 15 years of experience in the public health sector, working for nonprofits and the federal government. As a Program Officer, she leads the Mental Health and Emotional Well-being initiative and Healthy Kids, an initiative focused on out-of-school time. She oversees grant portfolios and collaborates with community partners to improve the region’s mental health and youth health outcomes.
Sandra holds a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Hispanic and Border Health and a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion from the University of Texas at El Paso. She is also a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES). Passionate about community impact, Sandra is dedicated to improving public health outcomes. As a former military spouse, she is also a strong advocate for veterans and military families.
Outside of work, Sandra enjoys spending time outdoors and traveling with her husband and children. Whenever possible, she volunteers with organizations supporting the military community and youth.
