Supporting Health Leadership in the region

In 2023, the Health Foundation invested $3.20 million to support 23 grants under the Health Leadership priority area to support leadership development for executives, boards of directors, and nonprofit organizations, leverage resources through partnerships, invest in strategic initiatives and catalytic projects, and respond to immediate needs to benefit the region’s health.

2023 grantees included:

  • Annunciation House and El Pasoans Fighting Hunger – Emergency Crisis Response Grant
  • City of Las Cruces – Southwest Doña Ana Move Trail
  • El Paso Center for Children, Inc. – Exploring the Path Forward Phase II
  • El Paso Children’s Hospital Foundation – Empower Program: Pediatric Prediabetes and Type 2 Diabetes Outpatient Education
  • Texas Tech Foundation, Inc. – Improving Health Outcomes in the Paso del Norte Region – Support for the Hunt School of Dental Medicine
  • United Way of El Paso – REALIZE Board Training
  • El Paso Diabetes Association, Inc. – Transforming Lives: Accelerating Momentum to Expand Diabetes Education and Engagement
