Staff support ‘Tired of Cancer’ project
February 15, 2018

The staff of the Paso del Norte Health Foundation and family of foundations was honored to participate in the Rio Grande Cancer Foundation’s “Tired of Cancer” campaign.
The Rio Grande Cancer Foundation asked local individuals and organizations to decorate car tires with creative designs to bring awareness to Cancer Foundation’s important work in the community and to promote the Second Annual Run Together 5k.
“We thought this would be a fun project for our team. Our design focused on physical activity and nutrition, which are both important in the prevention and during the treatment of cancer,” said Tracy J. Yellen, CEO, Paso del Norte Health Foundation. “We found some hidden artistic talent while working on the project.”
The final designed tires will be used for a fun obstacle course on the field at the Second Annual Run Together 5K set for Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Cohen Stadium. After the event, the tires will be sent to San Antonio to use at the Alamo 26.2 Marathon and 13.1 Half Marathon.
