4th Annual Behavioral Health Summit
Collaborating for Results
Thursday, October 18, 2018
8 a.m. – Noon
Don Haskins Center
Hosted by the Paso del Norte Health Foundation in partnership with Empower Change, the 4th Annual El Paso Behavioral Health Summit will feature keynote speaker Adrienne Kennedy, National Board President of the National Alliance on Mental Health (NAMI), and three panel discussions moderated by Bob Moore with members from the El Paso Behavioral Consortium’s Leadership Councils related to justice, families and integration.
Ms. Kennedy will discuss the “best-case scenario” that results when mental health, addiction services and related supports are available where and when people need them. Ms. Kennedy is a retired educator/administrator/researcher, devotes herself to mental health advocacy, after profound experiences with mental health issues of family members. As their crises required her fulltime caregiving, she resigned her doctoral candidacy (College of Education, The University of Texas at Austin), becoming active with NAMI.
The El Paso Behavioral Health Consortium is committed to ongoing collaboration where all partners are welcome, empowered and unified to achieve the ideal behavioral health service and support system for the greater El Paso area.
