REALIZE Executive kicks-off leadership training

The 5th U.S. REALIZE Executive leadership experience kicked-off in October with a three-day off-site excursion in Sacramento, New Mexico. The 20-member cohort participated in intensive leadership sessions that focused on situational leadership and team building. The cohort also participated in outdoors activities that involved Geocaching, ATV riding and archery.

“Being part of the REALIZE Leadership program represents a one-of-a kind experience to take my leadership skills to the next level, while going through a transformational experience with some of El Paso’s best and brightest,” said Mike Matthews, President and CCO, CultureSpan Marketing. “The REALIZE event in the Sacramento Mountains represents just one of many transformational opportunities that this program provides. The situational leadership training we received was immediately applicable in my working life and being able to share that experience with my team is already netting better conversations, efficiency and morale.” Sessions were facilitated by Robin Blanchard, The Ken Blanchard Companies, and Rose Gailey, Heidrick & Struggles.

PDNHF Initiative: REALIZE Executive

The goal of the REALIZE experience is to inspire already effective leaders to become transformational leaders for the benefit of the region’s health. Customized for the Paso del Norte region and built on nine leadership attributes, REALIZE offers a cohort of twenty executives the opportunity for individualized leadership growth over fifteen months.

With strengthened leadership in place, regional organizations and individuals are better positioned to promote health and prevent disease. Key REALIZE interventions include a customized 360 and other leadership assessments, executive coaching around personalized leadership goals, two transformational off-site experiences, at least six one-day cohort connect learning sessions, networking opportunities, assessments to measure individual growth, and more.

His leadership, support, and advocacy of these foundations and his role as a leader and mentor to countless young leaders are among his many wonderful contributions to health and well-being in our region. The Health Foundation is pleased to offer REALIZE programs to build health leaders in our region in honor and furtherance of Mr. Hoy’s legacy.
