Nonprofit Brief: Exploring the Roles of Nonprofit Boards

October 15, 2024

We are pleased to share the latest Nonprofit Brief recently published by UTEP Associate Professor Dr. Eric Boyer and MPA Candidate Oyimchakhon Abdullaeva exploring the roles of nonprofit boards. The paper examines data collected from a survey sponsored by the Paso del Norte Health Foundation (PdNHF) in the spring of 2024, which included responses from 78 local nonprofit executives.

The data analysis includes some of the ways board size can influence the volume and types of revenue that support nonprofits. The results also highlight ways that specific areas of board training may affect revenue, as well as the techniques that are perceived to increase board engagement.
