Health Foundation seeks proposals for the construction of the Playa Drain Trail

The Paso del Norte Health Foundation (Health Foundation) seeks proposals for the construction of the Playa Drain Trail - a 3.4-mile trail on the Playa Drain from Ascarate Park to Riverside High School. The Health Foundation was established in 1995 to lead, leverage and invest in initiatives, programs and policies to promote health and prevent disease in the Paso del Norte region.
Scope of Work. The work under this contract shall be for furnishing all labor, materials, transportation and services for the construction and installation of the following work:
- Implementation of a traffic control plan.
- Site clearing and grubbing.
- Demolition and removal of existing trees, pavements, gutters, bollards, and structures as indicated on the plans.
- Excavation of unclassified material: cut to waste, and cut to fill.
- Installation of project improvements including: asphalt trail and concrete curbs, concrete paving and walks, site furnishings, pre-manufactured pedestrian bridge, fencing and railing, landscape and irrigation improvements.
Pre-Bid Meeting. A pre-bid meeting will be held on November 1, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. MST and November 9, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. MST, at the Health Foundation Conference Room, 221 N. Kansas Street, Suite 1900, El Paso, Texas, 79901.

Proposals Due. Sealed proposals for construction of the Playa Drain Trail will be received by the Health Foundation located at 221 N. Kansas Street, Suite 1900, or by mail to 221 N. Kansas Street, Suite 1900, El Paso, Texas, 79901 until 2:00 p.m. MST, on November 30, 2017.
Each Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of five percent of the amount bid. The Successful Bidder states he or she must furnish a 100 percent (100%) Performance Bond and a 100 percent (100%) Payment Bond, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and the General Conditions. By submission of the bid, Bidder fully understands the requirements of the Contract Documents and agrees to comply with all requirements thereof.
