Foundations welcome new team members

The Paso del Norte Health Foundation and Paso del Norte Community Foundation are pleased to welcome two new members to our Foundation team: Mercedez Hernandez as the Operations Support Assistant and Alejandra Martinez as an Accountant I.

Mercedez is the friendly face you first meet when visiting our office. She provides administrative and general support for the Paso del Norte Health Foundation and Paso del Norte Community Foundation. Born and raised in El Paso, Mercedez has been in the customer care industry for over 10 years. Customer care has always been her passion. She makes everyone feel welcome and provides personal attention to show our dedication to each individual who calls or visits our organization. She has nine children, and in her spare time, she enjoys reading books and spending as much time as possible with her family. Mercedez also loves being creative and planning events, especially when they bring people together for fun and laughter.

Alejandra brings six years of experience in the accounting field. In her role as Accountant I, Alejandra will prepare and review accounting entries, reconcile accounts, assist with month-end closing, prepare audit schedules and 990 tax returns, and collaborate with the Foundation team. Alejandra holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Universidad Autonoma de Ciudad Juárez. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her loved ones and is excited to be part of a team that collaborates to make a difference in our community.
