For the Paso del Norte Health Foundation, 2017 was a year of building layers of wellness in areas of physical activity and increasing the medical workforce for the region. Our team and partners found the need for valuable resources in the areas related to safe alternatives for recreation and physical activity; increase the number of doctors, dentist, registered dietitians and pharmacist to the region and empower change to decrease the negative bias associated with mental illness and increase mental health services.
