Archive Initiative - Action for Youth

As a health leader, the Paso del Norte Health Foundation worked to connect border communities to create change. By merely providing local organizations with the information and resources to perform necessary change, individuals were set on a powerful momentum that ignited a chain reaction in communities, establishing new bonds and generated new awareness for the needs of the people in their communities.
Action for Youth (AY) was a multi-year, grassroots initiative designed to build the capacity of communities to support youth and parents for the development of healthier youth. The cornerstone of AY was the development of “Action for Youth Partnerships” in west Texas, southern New Mexico and Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. Through these partnerships, the initiative engaged and empowered people to work together in transforming their communities where youth and families would be healthy.
