Helping Kids Explore Healthy Foods through Taster Space Program

Desert Spoon Food Hub is a nonprofit organization that supports local farms and food access through various initiatives, including a nonprofit grocery store (Spoon Flower Grocery), a weekly Community Farm Box, and community programs like Taster Space.

Taster Space is a fun, hands on program that helps kids explore fruits and vegetables through crafts, recipes, and activities. The Paso del Norte Health Foundation funded the development of Taster Space and continues to support the programs community partnerships with institutions such as PdN Children’s, Boys & Girls Club, La Nube, and in the coming year, El Paso Public Libraries.

Taster Space can be found at La Nube on the first Saturday of each month with free craft workshops and book readings that help families explore different seasonal fruits and vegetables together.
