Inspiring the Next Generation of Leaders
Last month, the Board of Directors of the Foundation approved a new initiative titled “REALIZE.”
REALIZE is a cutting edge leadership development experience. The purpose is to inspire good leaders to become transformational leaders for the benefit of the region’s health. From mid-sized health and human service agencies to large government agencies and school districts to private clinical businesses, leaders are key to improving policy, providing services, and promoting wellness for the Paso del Norte region.
The Foundation’s plans for REALIZE to be the most outstanding leadership program in the nation. The program has been developed by a national firm, GagenMcDonald, with support from Foundation staff.
Several leadership programs were benchmarked and studied in the planning of REALIZE. Not one of them met all of the standards we sought.
Founded on a transformational leadership model, the fifteen month experience engages leaders in a highly experiential learning methodology facilitated by thought leaders and experts in leadership development, change leadership, communications, and population health. The experience will feature national and global thought leaders, out-of-town learning experiences, mentoring, executive coaching, health and leadership assessment, and much more.
Nominations will be accepted in early March. To nominate someone for REALIZE, just send their name, contact information, and short paragraph about your reason for the nomination to REALIZE@pdnhf.org. Each nominee will receive instruction for a full application. The first cohort will be limited to a diverse group of 20 participants. While each participant will be required to commit time and resources to the experience, it promises to be truly transformational. For more information, click here.
