El Paso Giving Day ignites the spirit of giving in our community

Over 165 local nonprofit agencies are joining together on November 15 for El Paso Giving Day – a 24-hour social media campaign designed to raise awareness (and funds!) for worthwhile charitable causes in our community. And, we are upping the ante for this second annual event with a goal of raising $250,000 in a single day. It’s ambitious but, with your help, we know we can do it!

Nonprofits do incredibly important work in our community. As the fifth largest employer taken together, nonprofit organizations provide after-school child care, organize cancer support groups, feed and house the homeless, provide coats to kids, support the arts, provide scholarships for higher education, shelter animals in crisis, and so much more. Contributions from individuals in our community to support these charitable causes has never been more important. Your financial support – at any level on El Paso Giving Day – ensures that our nonprofits can continue providing the essential programs and services for our friends, neighbors, colleagues and broader community.

And, El Paso Giving Day is a nearly effortless way to give back. Here’s how it works:

• On Wednesday, November 15, log-on to ElPasoGivingDay.org. You can make a secure gift to a single organization or multiple organizations using the multi-give form on the El Paso Giving Day website. Not sure who to give to? Summaries and links for all participating entities are there for you to learn more.
  
• Or, starting on November 8th, you can log onto ElPasoGivingDay.org to make your secure gift in advance. We’re opening the giving portal a little early, so you don’t miss giving on November 15.

To make your gift go even farther, we have created a bonus prize pool thanks to a special gift from The Meadows Foundation, giving participating nonprofits the chance to win one of 15 $1,000 bonus prizes on giving day. Your donation can help your favorite charities win a bonus prize!

To celebrate this unique day-of-giving, we invite you to join us at the Fountains at Farah from 4-7 pm on November 15 to enjoy live performances and activities hosted by our nonprofit partners.
