Healthy Paso del Norte Report
The Healthy Paso del Norte 2016 Report is a special community leadership project developed by the Coalition for a Healthy Paso del Norte to advance a health agenda for the Paso del Norte region. The Paso del Norte region includes Doña Ana, Luna, and Otero counties in New Mexico, El Paso and Hudspeth counties in Texas, and the municipality of Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico. The Coalition believes that health is a key contributor to the success of the education system, economy, and society as a whole. The Healthy Paso del Norte 2016 Report updates the Coalition’s 2012 Strategic Framework for Health. The report identifies key health priorities, establishes measurable health objectives, informs federal, state, local policy makers of regional health priorities, assists regional organizations with planning and goal setting, and provides evidence-based strategies to improve health.

The Coalition created the healthypasodelnorte.org web site as a regional resource for population data, and community health information that can be used for assessment, strategic planning, goal setting, collaboration, grant writing, and advocacy. It is also a tool that health leaders can use to monitor the improvement of the key indicators of health.
