NAMIWalks El Paso’s public, active display of support for people affected by mental health conditions is one important way we are changing how El Pasoans view people with a mental illness. NAMIWalks brings together individuals and businesses to help raise funds, combat stigma and promote awareness. NAMIWalks is NAMI El Paso’s largest and most successful mental health awareness and fundraising event. In 2016, NAMIWalks El Paso raised more than $60,000 to support local programs and initiatives that improve the lives of persons affected by mental health conditions. NAMI El Paso raises awareness and provides essential education, advocacy and support group programs at no cost for people in our community living with a mental health conditon and their loved ones. In 2016, we had 12 classes with 94 graduates that have been empowered with knowledge. On top of that, our presenters have shared with over 700 people their struggles with having a mental health condition and how NAMI El Paso has helped them.
Join us as we end to fight the stigma!
