History

The Paso del Norte Health Foundation is one of the largest private foundations on the U.S. - Mexico border. It was established in 1995 from the sale of Providence Memorial Hospital to Tenet Healthcare Corporation for $130 million. The purpose of the Health Foundation is to improve the health and promote the wellness of the people living in far west Texas, southern New Mexico, and Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico through education and prevention.

The Health Foundation envisions a region where all people, regardless of socio-economic status, have the knowledge, resources, and environment they need to live healthy lives.

Offices Closed

May 26, 2017

The Paso del Norte Health Foundation will be closed Monday, May 29 in observance of the Memorial Day Holiday.

The office will reopen for business on Tuesday, May 30.
